About CRN-ACHDi

Established in 2019, the Canadian Research Network for Adult Congenital Heart Disease Interventions (CRN-ACHDi) brings together clinical experts and researchers from seven Canadian provinces (AB, BC, MB, ON, QC, NS, SK). The Canadian Congenital Heart Alliance (CCHA) is our patient partner organization. The Network fosters a strong collaborative and multidisciplinary research environment to promote multisite, high-quality studies in this rare disease population.

Mission

Our mission is to bring together clinical experts, researchers, patients and other knowledge partners to address unique challenges faced by the ACHDi population in which disease rarity, geographical dispersion and variability in disease progression create barriers in generating robust clinical evidence.

Our primary focus is on the five most common ACHD interventions: transcatheter closure of ASD, closure of PFO, CoA stenting, PPVI, and cardiac catheterization for complex CHD.
